🟦 Bootcamp Projects
·🎓 Ruta UX – Impulso | Student Loan App for Latin American Students | UX/UI Designer 2025

  • As the team behind “Impulso,” we created a platform to simplify and humanize the student loan process for Peruvian students who want to study abroad. We started by understanding the end-user.
  • We did research, including a competitive analysis of Prodigy Finance, Juno, and Nomad Credit. We also did in-depth interviews with Peruvian students to get firsthand insights on the emotional barriers, pain points and core needs they faced during the financing journey.
  • Using those findings we created personas and journey maps to translate raw data into design priorities. This user-centric foundation guided our entire design process, from paper sketches to low-fidelity digital wireframes of the core flows—onboarding, loan comparison and advisory services. We designed the visual identity (logo, brand colors and typography) to be warm, clear and credible.
  • We built a high-fidelity prototype in Figma and tested it with the same students we interviewed. We were happy to see that all participants were able to complete the critical tasks—from entering personal info to comparing loans and requesting support—without major issues.
  • We documented the learnings and constraints and outlined a roadmap for future features like login tracking, community forum and strategic financial partnerships. This project showed our skills in Figma, user research and iterative design from concept to MVP.

·🎓 UX Unicórnio – EduCoruja | EdTech App (Remote Education Tool) | UX/UI Designer – 2022

  • As the design team for “EduCoruja,” we built a mobile and web platform for elementary school students to navigate remote learning. Our goal was to create an educational tool that was engaging and effective, based on the real needs of its users.
  • We started by doing user research, interviewing and surveying parents and students. We found out that online education has many challenges such as lack of interactivity, barriers to motivation and unclear progress tracking. We synthesized the findings by creating personas, user journeys and pain-point analysis and that became our guide to prioritize features like live class reminders, interactive feedback tools and clear progress dashboards.
  • Our design process started with collaborative ideation and low-fidelity wireframes where we sketched out core screens and navigation flows. We iterated on these initial concepts through team critiques and then used Figma to build mid- and high-fidelity prototypes for student onboarding, class scheduling, task submission and gamified progress loops.
  • To make sure our design was intuitive we did remote usability testing with 5 users. That was super helpful – we found a point of friction in the task submission flow and we refined the UI accordingly to make it smoother.
  • Finally we documented our design rationale, technical constraints and a roadmap for future enhancements like peer-to-peer interaction, adaptive content and offline mode. This project showed our team’s proficiency with Figma and Miro and our commitment to user-centered design process from research to a tested prototype.

🟦 Product Design Leadership
Santiago Group & DGS Shipyard | Brazil | Production Manager & Design Strategist 2014 – 2016

  • As a production manager I led multi-disciplinary teams through the entire product development and manufacturing lifecycle using human centric design principles and iterative prototyping.
  • One of my key initiatives was to introduce modern digital tools and workflows. This increased team efficiency by 15% and improved departmental alignment. To ensure our designs were practical and effective I implemented benchmarking and usability testing with internal users and gathered direct feedback and prioritised meaningful improvements.
  • I was also focused on empowering my teams. I designed and facilitated training programs to upskill staff so there was a seamless handover of product specs from design to production. To support this I standardised our design documentation and file management systems which reduced production errors and accelerated our iteration speed.
  • I was hands on and oversaw early stage validation of prototypes using CNC fabrication and functional testing. This critical step allowed me to incorporate user feedback into the final designs. By applying continuous improvement frameworks and lean principles to our processes I was also able to reduce material usage by up to 20% and make our operations more sustainable.
